WILPF NIGERIA STAFF ANNUAL RETREAT @ ROBAN HOTEL ENUGU ON 15TH AND 16TH NOVEMBER 2016.
This is the third WILPF Nigeria staff annual retreat organized for its staff. The retreat was a 2-days event organized with the intent of building a stronger team, encouraging individual development, sharing challenges alongside charting the way forward for the year 2017.
Two presentations were given by the Joy Onyesoh on Overview of WILPF International and WILPF Nigeria and Understanding Gender. There was also the reframing of the WILPF Nigeria intervention areas to: Research and Documentation, Women Peace and Security, Democracy and Good governance, Human Rights and Disarmament. Members of staff were assigned the above intervention areas to champion. We were taken on Administrative and Financial Discussions by two of the staff; Oluchi Eze and Ugochukwu Onwukwe. The day came to an end with a grand presentation by the Media consultant on Communication and Social Media.
Day two 16th November took off with a presentation by the President on Proposal writing. This set the tune for the day as the rest of the day was all on presentations. Two other presentations on Operational Budget and Monitoring and Evaluation and Communication and Branding were taken by The Operation manager and the Media consultant respectively. In attendance were staff from Enugu and Abuja office and the media consultant, Sola Odeja; making it a total of nine (9) participants.
