Reflecting on the Stakeholders Dialogue on Ending GBV – 27th November 2024

On 27th November 2024, WILPF Nigeria, in collaboration with MenEngage Network, successfully hosted the Stakeholders Dialogue as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. This event, under the theme “Toward Beijing +30: Unite to End Violence against Women and Girls,” marked the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action.

Event Highlights:

Men and Boys in Ending GBV: Discussed the vital role men and boys play in challenging harmful gender norms.

Beijing +30 Review: Assessed progress on gender equality, focusing on GBV and implementation gaps.

Intersectionality and WPS Agenda: Explored how gender, GBV, and peace intersect, highlighting advocacy for justice and equality.

Partnerships for Change: Strengthened partnerships to engage men and boys in ending GBV.

Building Capacity: Equipped stakeholders with strategies to incorporate gender and intersectionality in combating GBV.
