Press Briefing

On the 16th of June 2022, WILPF Nigeria under the Women Situation Room Nigeria (WSRN) organized a press briefing ahead of the Ekiti state gubernatorial elections. The aim of the press statement was to call for peaceful elections and women’s participation in electoral process especially on the identified hotspots areas in the state. 

Through the media briefing we had, this lead to more visibility for WSRN as we had calls from stakeholders sharing information with us on the Election Day and also in reporting incidences of from various polling units across the state.
