NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY WHICH HELD ON THE 25TH – 26TH SEPTEMBER 2017 AT BARCELONA HOTEL, ABUJA

The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in collaboration with the Norwegian Embassy, UNICEF and UN Women organized a two day conference on women peace and Security. The conference advocates for the increased participation of women in peace building and conflict resolution. It had in attendance representative from different organizations, traditional rulers, CSOs and MDAs from across the Country. A Communiqué was drafted and adopted at the end of the conference which focused on the issues facing women and girls around women, peace and security.
