ADVOCACY VISIT TO STAKEHOLDERS IN EKITI STATE

On Tuesday and Wednesday (31st and 1st of May 2022), WSRN engaged in courtesy and advocacy visit to relevant stakeholders in Ekiti state. The visits aimed to intimate partners of WSRN’s planned activities in the state, what the network is all about and how best to build strategic partnerships with each stakeholder in the state especially as the state elections draw near. 

Establishing this visit with the relevant stakeholders led to an increased visibility for the network and buy in of the process by stakeholders to support our work on ground. 

We paid advocacy visit to the Queen, chairperson council of Oloris in Ado-Ekiti, the Amirah and members of Federation of Muslim Women Association (FOMWAN), President and members of national council of women societies, FIDA, Perm. Secretary and Director Women Affairs, State Ministry of Women Affairs, Director of multilateral, Ministry of budget, INEC, the Nigerian Police Force, Disability commission, NSCDC, WOWICAN, Iya Oloja, Immigration wives’ association, coalition of Ekiti state CSOs.
