ADVOCACY VISIT TO STAKEHOLDERS IN EKITI AND OSUN STATE

Ahead of the Ekiti and Osun state gubernatorial elections, WILPF Nigeria through its Women’s Situation Room Nigeria carried out some advocacy visits in Ekiti and Osun state in April. The advocacy visit was to introduce the activities of WSRN to relevant stakeholders and also seek their buy-in. In both states, we met with the Director of Women Affairs, visited the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), .the president of the Federation of Muslim Women Association (FOMWAN) and some CSOs. From the visit, we were able to build a strategic partnership with the key stakeholders in the state, created visibility for the WSRN and got the buy in of the relevant stakeholders.
