A two-day Stakeholders Capacity Strengthening Summit on Sustaining Movement

WILPF Nigeria held a two-day Stakeholders Capacity Strengthening Summit on Sustaining Movement, Peace and Security Agenda in Commemoration of the International Women’s Day Held in Cross River State the 25th to 26th March, 2024. The summit brought in stakeholders from across the state and the nation working on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
The objectives of the summit were listed as follows:
To strengthen collaborations and strategic movement building with WROs and partners working in the advancement of Women’s Peace and Security Agenda.
To enhance the capacities of stakeholders to understand Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and its impact on the advancement of Women, Peace and Security.
To support peer learning and cross learning among the WROs and partners with a focus on the advancement of Women, Peace and Security agenda.
To develop strategies and key actionable plans in the mitigation and prevention of GBV in the states and advance the Women, Peace and Security agenda.
To develop a policy brief to aid advocacy efforts in the enhancement of Women, Peace and Security agenda.
